Tour of De La Rue’s state-of-the-art production facilities in Malta

We are very privileged to offer delegates the chance to visit De La Rue’s centre of excellence for tax stamps, banknotes and other high security products on Thursday 19th May 2022.

De La Rue produced Malta’s 1st tax stamp in 1860 – their strategic hub on the island now exports over 14 billion unique high security products to over 85 countries around the world. De La Rue recently announced a major upgrade to its existing facilities in Malta – creating a 29,000 m², cutting-edge and more sustainable manufacturing site to improve the efficiency, capability, and flexibility of the 200-year-old company.

This investment will double De La Rue’s existing capacity for tax stamps and extend their ‘industry 4.0’ journey with manufacturing integrated with traceability software platforms.

The tour is open to central banks, government issuing authorities, revenue authorities, state print works and some suppliers; numbers are strictly limited, so please register your interest as early as possible by contacting Livia Eckett (

Departure from the hotel at 9am and 11am.
