On Tuesday 17th May the gala dinner takes place at the Xara Lodge. Details outlined below. On the final evening, we have the closing cocktails – sponsored by KURZ, again held within the exhibition area in order to maximise the opportunity to visit providers showing the latest innovations in high security printing features and technologies.
Gala Dinner at The Xara Lodge – sponsored by Opsec
Spread over 5780m², The Xara Lodge is a contemporary reimagining of the traditional Maltese countryside hunting estate. The Xara Lodge is Malta’s only purpose-built multi-functional event venue and is set in the picturesque countryside outside Rabat. The Xara Lodge offers total privacy unlike any other venue on the island and is within 20 minutes of the event hotel.

Tour of De La Rue’s state-of-the-art production facilities in Malta
We are very privileged to offer delegates the chance to visit De La Rue’s centre of excellence for tax stamps, banknotes and other high security products on Thursday 19th May 2022.
De La Rue produced Malta’s 1st tax stamp in 1860 – their strategic hub on the island now exports over 14 billion unique high security products to over 85 countries around the world. De La Rue recently announced a major upgrade to its existing facilities in Malta – creating a 29,000 m², cutting-edge and more sustainable manufacturing site to improve the efficiency, capability, and flexibility of the 200-year-old company.
This investment will double De La Rue’s existing capacity for tax stamps and extend their ‘industry 4.0’ journey with manufacturing integrated with traceability software platforms.
The tour is open to central banks, government issuing authorities, revenue authorities, state print works and some suppliers; numbers are strictly limited, so please register your interest as early as possible by contacting Laura Wheatley (email@example.com).
Departure from the hotel at 9am with a return around 12:00.
The tour delegates are subject to review by De La Rue.
At the announcement of the latest investment in De La Rue Malta are, from left to right (foreground): Silvio Schembri, Minister for Economy and Industry; Prime Minister, Robert Abela; Miriam Dalli, Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Sustainable Development; Osward Armani, Security HSE and Risk Manager for De La Rue Malta; and Clive Vacher, CEO De La Rue
