Whether it’s the forgery of identities, travel documents or vaccination certificates, document fraud is on the rise. Visible digital seals (VDS) protect paper-based or digital documents like tax stamps and make them impossible for criminals to counterfeit.

We provide insight into how a VDS works and give an overview of existing specifications and examples of where VDS is already in use and part of our daily lives.

We also present a guideline of the anatomy and structure of a modern tax stamp using a VDS.

But how can we protect VDS codes against copying if it comes to direct marking?

The presentation will provide an insight into the world of anti-copy and anti-cloneable codes and how the VDS could be a part of it.
