With the requirement for digital tax stamp (DTS) solutions that meet the requirements of the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, getting ever closer, De La Rue will share its experience gained through the implementation and operation of multiple FCTC schemes over the past two years.
The presentation will explain the approach for the solutions implemented, the challenges of this process and the requirements for ongoing efficient operation.
It will also discuss the relationship between printed tax stamps and track and trace coding, the role of each in an overall solution, and how these can be used together to gain additional advantages.
Finally, to share best practice and assist future implementations being considered by national tax authorities, the presentation will discuss use cases and lessons learnt from the schemes currently in operation.
